Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is FOUNT?
FOUNT is a friction-management SaaS platform, purpose-built to measure whether enterprise transformations are actually working. It captures satisfaction, effort, and time across workflows, ties this data to business outcomes, and helps leaders prioritize fixes that accelerate adoption, productivity, and ROI.
2. Who does FOUNT help?
FOUNT helps leaders responsible for enterprise processes, technology rollouts, and transformation success. This includes HR, IT, Finance, Shared Services, and Business Operations teams.
3. What types of organizations or teams typically use FOUNT?

4. What problems does FOUNT solve?
1. Lack of Visibility into Employee Workflow Friction
2. Misaligned Prioritization of Improvements
3. Unclear ROI on AI and Technology Investments
4. Siloed Ownership of Problems
5. Difficulty Proving Impact of Improvements
5. What is FOUNT’s engagement model?
FOUNT offers options like a 6-week proof of concept, pilot programs, or a 2-year license. Pricing depends on scope and scale. Contact our Sales Team for details.
6. How does FOUNT make sure employees answer the surveys? They're already fatigued.
FOUNT surveys are short (3–5 minutes), moment-specific, targeted, and only deployed to relevant employees. Because of the moment-based model, each survey is scoped to a specific task or experience, reducing the need for broad or repetitive questions.
7. What is the FOUNT platform?
FOUNT is a SaaS platform that helps large enterprises identify and resolve points of friction in employees’ daily workflows. It uses targeted micro-surveys and a proprietary analytics model to quantify effort, satisfaction, and time spent in specific work moments. The result is actionable insight - not just data - delivered through intuitive dashboards and AI action suggestions tailored to the needs of product and service owners.
8. What does it take to implement/set this up?
FOUNT implementation follows a three-step process: scoping the project and configuring the survey, running the survey, and using the dashboard to analyze and act on the results.
We typically start off with a POC engagement to get you started quicker:
- Total time: 6 weeks
- We start off with a template from our library of questions
- We spend 2-3 hours with the core project team to scope use case
- We spend another 1-2 hours of SME time (depending on the use case) to iron out details of employees' workflow/sense check the survey questions
- We run the survey on a population of up to 200-300 employees
- Survey takes 2-3 min/employee
- We do a read out of our findings in week 5-6 of the POC
9. What does FOUNT measure?
FOUNT measures friction across employee workflows
10. How are the results presented?
FOUNT consolidates data into intuitive dashboards, showing workflow performance, critical friction points, and the business impact of those issues.
11. What does the typical project timeframe look like?
From kickoff to insights: as little as 4–6 weeks. Survey design and setup takes 1–2 weeks, surveys run for 1–2 weeks, and dashboards update in real-time. Results are typically presented to stakeholders by week 6.
12. What’s different about FOUNT’s approach?
Today, most companies rely on generic engagement surveys, focus groups, or fragmented survey data collected on the organizations’ products and services. These methods often fail to give a clear picture of what’s really happening in employees’ daily work. Current approaches also struggle to prioritize which challenges need immediate attention, and they don’t show how these issues impact productivity or ROI. As a result, leaders end up with data that’s hard to act on and miss opportunities to make meaningful improvements. We use a moment-based framework to measure effort level, time spent and experience of workers doing their work, with minimal employee disruption. This is much more precise than a typical engagement/change-management survey and offers more context than automatic satisfaction surveys sent to employees each time they interact with a product or service (HR, IT, Finance etc.), because it digs deep into people’s day-to-day workflow, making the data more actionable.
13. What is work friction?
Work friction is the unnecessary effort employees expend to overcome obstacles that prevent them from achieving their goals - such as unclear processes, communication breakdowns, slow approvals, or tools that don’t work as intended. As of 2025, FOUNT is the only SaaS solution purpose-built to identify and quantify this friction, which is often overlooked by traditional surveys, SLAs, and system data.
14. How do FOUNT surveys get deployed?
FOUNT offers flexible deployment options to fit into existing workflows:
- Anonymous link via email – Easily share a general survey link with any group, via our own survey tool.
- Personalized anonymous links – Upload employee lists to send unique survey links while still preserving full anonymity, via our survey tool. We can integrate with your existing systems and workflows—for example, adding a FOUNT survey link to a ServiceNow process that already sends surveys to new joiners. Once it's embedded, we handle the rest: data processing, dashboard creation, and live results tracking.
- All survey options are designed for quick, 3–5-minute completion and maintain strict anonymity to encourage honest, high-quality feedback.
15. Can FOUNT support digital transformation efforts like ServiceNow or AI tool rollouts?
Yes. FOUNT is commonly used to support ServiceNow, AI assistants, internal portals, and other digital investments.
16. What does FOUNT implementation require?
FOUNT is lightweight by design. A typical implementation includes:
- 2–3 hours of stakeholder scoping to align on goals and key workflows
- 1–2 hours of SME input to validate and tailor survey content
- Optional survey programming, handled by FOUNT or your internal team
- Automated dashboard setup, with insights ready for an executive readout by week 6
There’s no need for complex integrations, making FOUNT fast to deploy and easy to scale.
17. What is a “moment” and why does it matter?
A moment is a real-world task, like “prepare for parental leave” or “reset a system password.” It’s not just a transaction - it’s the sum of tools, processes, and interactions needed to complete a work goal. FOUNT measures friction in these moments to reveal what needs fixing.
